New HM90 APCT 1003PDFRU Inserts Enable Reduced Diameter od Standart HELI2000 Endmills
The HELI2000 line has been expanded with the addition of new inserts featuring smaller widths and helical, peripherally ground cutting edges.
The width of the new inserts is smaller than the width of
the standard inserts:
HM90 APCT 1003PDFRU is 0.24mm smaller in width than the HM90 APKT 1003PDR, and HM90 ADCT 150508PDFRU is 0.4mm smaller in width than the HM90 ADKT 150508PDR.
The new inserts can be mounted on the standard HM90 E90A.. and HM90 E90AD.. endmills. However, they are able to cut the undersized diameters that are required for key ways and precision slotting applications.
The cutting diameter of HM90 E90A.. endmills are reduced by 0.24mm when using HM90 APCT 1003PDFRU inserts and the cutting diameter of HM90 E90AD.. endmills are reduced by 0.4mm when using HM90 ADCT 150508PDFRU inserts. For example, by using HM90 APCT 1003PDFRU insert on HM90 E90A-D16-2-C16 the nominal diameter of the tool will be 15.76mm instead of 16.0mm.
Another feature is the sharp ground cutting edge - recommended for high temperature alloys, stainless steel and for aluminum - that produces lower cutting forces and less built up edge. The ground cutting edge also provides better results regarding mismatch and 90° shoulder accuracy when compared to the regular HM90 APKT 1003.. and HM90 ADKT 1505.. inserts.
